ACTIVITY
The Institute is a health institution which according to its characteristics and manner of work, within the network of health institutions of Serbia, belongs to residential type institutions.
The Institute performs out-patient and patient health care in the field of psycho-physiological and speech disorders
As part of its activities, Institute particularly:
- monitor and study the state of developmental disorders, hearing loss in children and young persons and speech disorders of all ages, as well as the blind and visually impaired preschool children;
- implement measures of health education in the establishment behavior that leads to the improvement and maintaining the health;
- explore and discover the causes and occurrence of disorder and the manner and extent of their early detection, efficient and high quality treatment and rehabilitation and prevention of disability;
- provides health care in ambulatory and hospital conditions;
- monitor and enforce established professional and scientific methods of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation, and in particular determined of professional-methodological and doctrinal criteria (protocols) and coordinates all health workers and associates that perform this activity on the territory of the Republic
- implement professional development of health workers and associates within the business;
- implement the program of health protection;
- define and implement measures to natural disasters and other emergency situations;
- organizes and implement internal quality control of professional work;
- implement measures to prevent labor complications and adverse consequences while providing health care and public safety measures during the detention of citizens in the Institute and provides continuous control of the implementation of these measures;
- perform any other activities in accordance with the law.
The basic orientation in the work of the Institute is to contribute to the optimization of psychomotor development and improvement of mental health of the entire child population.
This implies work on improving psychomotor development and mental health, prevention of disorders of development, special treatment of development - risk groups, early detection of development disorders and early complex rehabilitation treatment.
Such orientation activities is in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the World Declaration on the Survival, Protection and Development of Children.
